Yorktown Sheet Music ☜
I love rummaging through piles of old sheet music in thrift shops. I’m especially drawn to the piano and organ books from the 1960s and 70s, those years when publishers were determined to make pop and rock feel family-friendly. The results were often bright, groovy covers that landed in that sweet spot between safe and psychedelic. This particular series caught my eye for its unusual Batik-like illustrations by Johannes Regn. (Special thanks to Nolan for helping me ID this uncredited artist.) Yorktown Music Press, 1965-1966
