Who’s Afraid of Strathmore? / Irrational Fears ☜
Here are four examples from two ad campaigns by Strathmore Paper Co. The first series, Who’s Afraid of Strathmore, ran loosely from 1968 to 1969 and was illustrated by Simms Taback. The second series, Irrational Fears, began around 1970 and was illustrated by Seymour Chwast. Both were two-sided ads printed on various Strathmore paper stocks and inserted into popular design magazines of the time, such as Graphis, Print, CA (Communication Arts), and AD (Art Directors).
Between the two campaigns, I believe there are at least eight versions, and I hope to find and add the remaining examples soon. (One of my irrational fears is not finding the entire set!)
