Slurpee Buttons ☜

Have you slurped The Glob? Here’s a set of original Slurpee pinback promo buttons released by 7-Eleven in the late 1960s to market its rebranded frozen drink. Created by 7-Eleven’s in-house marketing division, The Stanford Agency, the campaign moved away from standard flavor names like Cola, Cherry, and Lime in favor of surreal, psychedelic names like The Glob, Gully Washer, and Blue Gook, designed to appeal to the countercultural tastes of 1960s youth.
