I have a particular fondness for that curious meeting of Art Deco and psychedelia, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a better example than these wonderful Evelyn Waugh paperback covers from Penguin. Illustrated by Peter Bentley of the London design studio Bentley/Farrell/Burnett. I read that these designs originated as a way to use up a surplus of cream-colored cover stock sitting in Penguin's printer's warehouse. I believe there are 15 books in this series; I've managed to track down nine of them so far.
